This week's job search yielded writing roles at a slew of companies in finance.
Of the 13 jobs on our list, five were content roles in financial services: S&P Global, Vanguard, TransUnion, TIAA, and the Dalio Family Office.
TransUnion and Vanguard are both looking for content and editorial strategists and list journalism among their preferred backgrounds.
TransUnion wants a senior content strategist and writer who can research industry trends and common challenges and then turn those insights into executive bylines, articles, and other "strategic assets." Similarly, Vanguard's new senior editorial manager will "identify emerging trends, timely issues, and high-impact storytelling opportunities" and create written materials for financial advisors.
TIAA is also looking for a content marketer to create materials that help its customers and prospective customers make more informed decisions about their retirement and wealth.
Meanwhile, the Dalio Family Office is looking for a strategic communications director who has "exceptional writing and editing skills" as well as "strong project management capabilities, sound editorial judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization."
Setting strategy is part of all of these roles, but they're fundamentally jobs for writers — especially those who are comfortable writing about finance.
The trend of companies looking for people to turn their research into content is becoming hard to ignore.
Anthropic is adding a writer to its editorial staff who will focus on "working with economists and researchers, helping them explain their findings plainly." AlphaSense needs an editor to ensure its research and thought leadership meet high standards. And Legora's new senior content strategist will research and write pieces while building a strategy to establish the company as "the source our audience actually engages with and references."
And as we've seen in past weeks, the most AI-forward companies in the batch are also paying at the very top of the market. Three of the four highest-paid jobs on the list are at Anthropic and OpenAI.
Know a role we missed? Send it our way, and it could make next week's list.
We'll see you back here next week with another roundup of brand journalism jobs.
Every week, we pull job postings looking for senior editorial and content-leadership roles: editorial directors, VPs and heads of content, managing editors, storytellers, data journalists, and similar titles. We prioritize those paying $100,000 or more.
