The movies leaving Hulu this month
There's no sadder time of the year than January—a time to take down our "Happy New Year" banners and pack up the Christmas ornaments. Yes, the holiday season has come to an end, which means returning to work for many of us. Considering it's already likely dark out by the time you sign off—whether you're remote or go in to work—there's no better way to unwind after a long day than by putting on a movie. But before you do, keep in mind that every streaming platform loses a handful of films each month—and Hulu is no different.
There are many reasons why a movie might leave Hulu—the rights may no longer be available, or its popularity may not justify the cost of licensing it, for example. Whatever the reason, you have until Jan. 31, 2025—or sooner in some cases—to watch the 28 films signing off from the streamer this month.
If you're not exactly ready to say goodbye to the holiday season, you'll have to make sure to catch one of the many Christmas-themed flicks leaving Hulu before the end of January. On Jan. 31, the streamer loses the 2018 fairytale holiday rom-com "A Snow White Christmas," En Vogue's 2014 Lifetime musical drama "An En Vogue Christmas," and the 2021 heartwarming tale "A Unicorn for Christmas," starring Reese Witherspoon's niece Abby James Witherspoon—just to name a few.
Meanwhile, everyone who enjoyed brat summer has until just Jan. 28 to catch "Charli XCX: Alone Together" before it leaves Hulu. The 2021 docu-drama explores how the global pop star created her fourth studio album, "How I'm Feeling Now," as a collaborative effort with her fans in 2020 during the COVID pandemic.
Curious to know the other films departing Hulu in the first month of 2025? Stacker compiled a list of the movies leaving Hulu in January using data from Reelgood.
