The movies leaving Hulu this month
The movies leaving Hulu this month
Change is in the air this November. It's time to say goodbye to spooky season and put away those pumpkins, and say hello to another hour of sleep—and shorter days—when daylight saving time comes to a close on Sunday, Nov. 3. A new month also means your favorite streaming services will be losing—and gaining—some of their beloved content. This November, for example, 28 movies are leaving Hulu, so it's time to plan your movie nights accordingly.
There are many reasons why a film might leave Hulu—the rights may no longer be available, or its popularity may not justify the cost of licensing it, for example. Though the motivation may vary, you may want to take stock of what's signing off Hulu this month so you can watch those movies before they're goners.
It's no shock that some of the spookier titles are getting the axe now that Halloween is behind us. Both the 2016 paranormal comedy-thriller "Ghost Team," starring Jon Heder and Justin Long, and the Richard Gere-led 2017 psychological thriller "The Dinner" are set to leave Hulu on Nov. 14. And a couple of days later on Nov. 16, a myriad of scary films will disappear from the streaming service, including the 2015 Western-horror "Bone Tomahawk" and the 2018 revenge fantasy film "Mandy," starring Nicolas Cage. But that's not the only Cage movie Hulu is setting free in November; the streamer is also removing 2015's "Pay the Ghost," which sees Cage play a professor whose son is abducted during a Halloween parade.
Perhaps the biggest upset among the movies leaving Hulu this month is "Hustlers." With its star-studded cast led by Jennifer Lopez and including standout performances from Constance Wu, Lizzo, and Cardi B, this 2019 blockbuster based on the viral New York magazine article about a group of strippers turning the tables on their Wall Street clients is getting kicked off of Hulu on Nov. 30.
Wondering what else you may want to catch before the month ends? Stacker compiled a list all 28 movies leaving Hulu in November using data from ReelGood. IMDb ratings and other data points were added for supplementary insights.
Whether you're looking to plan a belated scary movie night, need something animated to distract the little ones in your life, or you're ready to get in the spirit of another, much jollier holiday, there's something on the list for you.
