Colin Page McGinnis is a doctoral candidate at the Ohio State University and Chief Executive Officer at South Side Early Learning, an early childhood nonprofit in Columbus, Ohio that since 1922 has been working to ensure every child benefits from a holistic, high-quality early education. His work seeks to reimage how early childhood can be used as a key component of community development, with research focusing on the early childhood workforce, teacher-child relationships, and the transition to kindergarten.

Colin earned his bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences from the Ohio State University, master’s degree in educational psychology at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln and is a Doctoral Candidate at the Ohio State University's Department of Human Sciences. He has teaching experience at The University of Nebraska—Lincoln, Columbus State Community College, and The Ohio State University where he has taught courses on child and adolescent development, learning strategies, and classroom management in early childhood settings.

Outside of his academic work, Colin has been named one of Columbus’ 19 nonprofit innovators and a member of Columbus CEO’s inaugural class of Future 50, and finalist for small nonprofit "CEO of the Year."
