The FTC's original Amazon Prime settlement, finalized in September 2025, set eligibility around how many Prime benefits a member used in a year. Consumers who used fewer than 10 benefits (free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, and similar perks) within a 12-month stretch could qualify for redress, on the theory that light usage suggested they'd enrolled without fully meaning to.
The revised order extends that window. AZFamily's coverage of the update reported that consumers who used between 11 and 20 Prime benefits over a one-year period now qualify too, a change the FTC says will pull in millions of additional members. Anyone who already received an earlier, smaller check also qualifies for a supplemental payment of up to $149 on top of it.
