From Gwyneth Paltrow to Donald Glover, few artists these days are known for one particular talent. But even in an entertainment world filled with modern-day Michaelangelo's, Janelle Monáe stands out. At just 32, Monáe has performed at the white house, starred in an Oscar-winning film, created her own motion picture, and even manages her own music label. Still, many know Monáe simply for her red carpet looks. From the Grammy's to the Met Gala, it's rare that fashion commentators and twitter accounts miss one of her extraordinarily innovative outfits. And it's not just red carpets—Monáe broke the internet with an outfit in her music video, "Pynk," off of her most recent album "Dirty Computer."
Starting off in simple black and white suits—a tribute to her hard-working parents—Monáe has since expanded that into look after iconic look. While the colors rarely go beyond black, white, red and gold, it seems as if that lends itself to more creativity than others currently peddling the red carpet—continuously leaving viewers wondering what she'll pull off next.
To highlight Monáe's creativity through fashion, the team at Stacker curated a list of 30 of her best looks throughout the years. Click through to see just how far she's come from her suit and tie.
