Most popular TV shows on Prime this week
A new series, "Parish," has snuck in mostly under the radar to the list of the most popular TV shows on Amazon Prime Video this week. "Breaking Bad" actor Giancarlo Esposito stars as the titular driver in this limited action series, which premiered on AMC on March 31. Despite receiving somewhat mixed reviews from critics, "Parish" nevertheless appears to be picking up some attention from Prime Video viewers.
The Starz series "Black Sails" is also splashing onto the list of Prime Video's 10 most popular TV shows this week. Sometimes compared to "Game of Thrones" and "Vikings," this historical epic takes place in the Caribbean during the 1700s' infamous Golden Age of Piracy, following the exploits of feared pirate captain James Flint. Though the show originally ran from 2014 to 2017, its recent arrival on Netflix on April 17 appears to have rekindled interest over on Prime Video, too.
Other popular series this week include "Fallout," which has continued to garner plenty of streams (and a second season renewal) since its April 10 premiere, and "American Horror Story," which is now wrapping up its twelfth season.
