The Q2 Product Update: GEO reporting, story localization, and more

Written by Sam Kaye | Jun 29, 2026 2:15:00 PM

A lot has shipped this quarter. Here's a look at what's live, what's almost ready, and what's in the works.

GEO Reporting Is Now Live for Clients

For clients in Growth or Scale packages, GEO Reports are now available on each story's Results page in the portal.

The report tracks four topline metrics for each story:

  • Response Presence Rate
  • Citation Rate
  • Citation Lift
  • Share of Voice

Together they show how often AI platforms are responding to relevant queries, whether they're citing your content, and how that changes after your story is distributed across the Stacker network.

The Visibility Over Time charts break that data down week by week in the period post story syndication. It also depicts response visibility by the 6 tracked platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Mode, and others.

The Prompts section shows the specific queries we're tracking, organized by topic cluster, with platform-level coverage for each week. Stacker Network Citations identifies which publishers in our network were cited by AI platforms when responding to those prompts.

For clients tracking competitive positioning, the Competitor Tracking section shows your Share of Voice, Citation Share, and Mention Share against named competitors over time.

→ Note, this was rolled out to a small group of beta clients prior to launch. If you’re interested in being considered for beta-access opportunities in the future, let us know! Reach out to your AM to get connected with the product team and we’ll make sure you make the short list.

GEO Analytics

We’ve heard from clients that seeing summarized reporting at the campaign level, instead of just the story level, would be important for visualizing trends and grouping together results. With that in mind, we also launched a GEO Analytics page, which rolls up GEO story-level performance in one view.

It shows Response Presence and Citation Share for each story, platform-level breakdowns, across the Stacker network, and a ranked Story Performance table. Similar to the story level page, there is also a Competitive Analytics section, which shows how Share of Voice, Citation Share and Mention Share

Story Localization

Local distribution drives more pickups, and more pickups drive more page views.

We're adding a way to kick that off directly from the portal. Clients will soon be able to flag a story for localization with a few clicks. Stacker will handle the adaptation and push local versions across Stacker's regional publisher network from there.

Saved Sparks

The Content Insights page already shows personalized story recommendations, called Sparks, based on your publishing history, topic preferences, and what's working across the newswire. We're adding the ability to save the ones you want to come back to, so good ideas don't get buried between planning sessions, helping you iterate on great content when it works for you.

Publisher Story Hub: Stats Page

On the publishing side of things, we’re working to make sure you have more data for predicting performance before choosing to run a story. In Story Hub, we're building a new Stats page that shows publishing performance data from their own history alongside benchmarks from the broader Stacker newswire.

The goal is to make it easier to see which content types and categories are driving page views, so you get the most value from the wire.

Publisher Story Hub: Story Alerts

By popular demand, Story Alerts are coming back to Story Hub!

Publishers can opt in to get email notifications when new stories hit the newswire that match their target categories, audience interests, and local coverage area if they have a geographic lookout set up. Alerts go out within 24 hours of publication. That way, you can preemptively get ahead of coverage gaps with stories that you know fit your criteria.
