AI-native companies feature heavily in this week's list of brand content jobs, and they're paying at the top of the market.
AI cloud infrastructure company Lambda, contract intelligence AI company Ivo, and voice AI company Deepgram are among those hiring leaders to build out content functions that effectively tell their story and reach new potential customers. Each of these companies is paying over $200,000 at the high end, with Lambda earning the top spot on the list for a Head of Content role that pays between $278,000 and $370,000 annually.
The high compensation reflects the growing responsibility that content teams are holding in a landscape that's being redefined by LLMs. As AI platforms have become the surface where many consumers encounter brands for the first time, a strong content program is no longer just a nice-to-have.
"You own the entire process, from strategy to production," the Lambda listing reads. "Your audience may be a researcher testing a training run or an enterprise buyer building a procurement case, but you control the message. You set the standards, build the system, and define the quality."

There's also an interesting split in the titles we found this week. Most of the AI-native companies are hiring a "Head of Content," "Content Lead," or something similar, while legacy companies like Adobe, McKinsey, and American Express are leaning into editorial-style titles like "Editorial Lead" and "Executive Editor."
Granted, these jobs may serve different functions — for example, Kalshi's job listing says its content hub should serve as a growth engine for the business, while Adobe's focus is more on building corporate voice and thought leadership.
These companies are explicitly looking for journalists. Adobe's listing says that "prior experience as a reporter or editor at a publication or newsroom is strongly preferred." And Amex says that experience "within an established media organization" is a preferred qualification.
Know a role we missed? Send it our way, and it could make next week's list.
We'll see you back here next week with another roundup of brand journalism jobs.
How We Built This List
Every week, we pull job postings looking for senior editorial and content-leadership roles: editorial directors, VPs and heads of content, managing editors, storytellers, data journalists, and similar titles. We prioritize those paying $100,000 or more.
