This Week in Brand Journalism Jobs: Wall Street Wants Writers

See the top brand journalism job openings, including senior content strategist and editorial leadership roles.

Our first job roundup includes a slew of roles in financial-services companies both new and old.

In the legacy finance world, Capital One and Apollo Global Management are both looking for leaders to guide content strategy, build editorial calendars, and commission content that is aligned with the overall business strategy. These open job listings — both in senior leadership roles — are two of the highest-paid roles in the bunch.

Meanwhile, fintech startup Mercury is hiring a "sharp writer and editor with a knack for turning complex topics into content people actually want to read and engage with." This person will manage the daily operations of Mercury’s blog. And Vestwell, another fintech startup, is on the hunt for a content strategist to own messaging for its government partner channel.

Lovable Brand Editorial Lead Not listed Boston, MA or New York, NY Apply
Shopify Director of Content Not listed Remote Apply

Many of these roles are in finance, but the trend holds across industries and company sizes. Vibe coding startup Lovable is looking for a Brand Editorial Lead who will build “owned media platforms from early stages,” while Shopify needs a leader for its global content organization. ServiceNow is hiring a "hands-on editorial force" who is "equal parts strategist, storyteller, and operator."

These roles show that companies now want editorial leaders who can operate like career journalists or publishers. These leaders are owning editorial calendars, content strategy, and brand narrative end-to-end while also navigating industry-specific — and sometimes highly regulated — challenges like payments compliance and financial disclosures.

We'll see you back here next week with another roundup of brand journalism jobs.

How We Built This List

Every week, we pull job postings looking for senior editorial and content-leadership roles: editorial directors, VPs and heads of content, managing editors, storytellers, data journalists, and similar titles. We prioritize those paying $100,000 or more.

Madeline Stone is the Content Manager for Editorial & Insights at Stacker. She was previously a longtime business and tech journalist at Business Insider and a content and communications consultant for startups.
