Where people in Honolulu are looking to buy homes
Home prices are largely starting to normalize across the country, but remain high, as the number of homes for sale continues to decline.
The median listing price in Honolulu was $789,500 in December 2023, a -2.9% change from the year before. Record-high mortgage rates are keeping homes largely unaffordable for most buyers. Even a percentage point increase can increase a monthly mortgage payment by more than $100.
