Jobs defined by location are also a thing of the past as new technology allows for easier remote work and additionally, lesser-known cities all over the country are experiencing migrations of large corporations to their area. From Apple and Google research centers in Pittsburgh, to the rapidly growing tech industry in Raleigh, entire cities are being rebuilt from economic growth that companies and young professionals bring.
Here at Stacker, we analyzed data from Smart Asset comprised of nine metrics: the cost of living, young professional population, employment rate, job diversity, number of entertainment establishments, and cost of rent. In the summer, temperatures can head well above 100 degrees. Being close to Vegas gave Henderson one of the highest percentages of entertainment establishment density on this list at 2.37%.
