Based on a two-season British workplace comedy of the same name, "The Office" debuted in 2005 to lackluster ratings and seemed destined for a short run. Fast-forward a few years, and the team at the floundering Dunder Mifflin paper company managed to keep viewers laughing for nine seasons before wrapping up with a heartfelt finale in 2013.

Since then, "The Office" has won over even more audiences via streaming—first on Netflix through 2020, then moving to Peacock on Jan. 1, 2021. Its popularity has carried on so strongly that a new series in "The Office" universe, "The Paper," starring Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore, premiered on Peacock on Sept. 4, 2025.

With memorable characters, cringeworthy moments and incredible writing, "The Office" influenced countless sitcoms. Its mockumentary style has been mimicked by shows like "Parks and Recreation" and "Modern Family." Several stars, like B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling, contributed their writing skills, while Steve Carell famously portrayed regional manager Michael Scott for the first seven seasons.

With 201 episodes, "The Office" offers something for all its fans. Stacker used IMDb ratings to rank the top 10. Read on to see if your favorite episode made the list.
