Best wine bars in every state
There's a reason why t-shirts like "Rosé All Day" have started showing up at brunches everywhere: people love wine. In fact, wine is more popular than ever before in the United States. Americans drank a staggering 949 gallons of wine in 2016 which averaged out to 2.94 gallons of wine per person. That's almost 15 bottles of wine per person over the course of a year! Those figures also happen to be the highest numbers since the data was first collected in 1934. So where is all that wine being consumed? At home and in restaurants, for sure, but also in wine bars which are now a $2 billion dollar a year industry. With so many wine bars to choose from these days, how are you supposed to know which one is the best option?
By combing through Foursquare Search, Stacker was able to identify the best wine bar in every state. Foursquare's algorithm uses check-ins, rating signals, category matches, and more to predict the "best" option based on geographic location. Find your state in the list and check out the top wine bar near you.
