Fastest-growing jobs that pay over $75k

The current job market might feel like a roller coaster for many. As of August 2025, the unemployment rate has risen to 4.3% following years of low unemployment and robust job growth. Companies are also pumping the brakes on job creation—the number of job openings was down by 5.5% year-over-year in August 2025, and hires have fallen by almost 2%. And if that weren't enough, many private employers have announced major layoffs this year. According to a report from Challenger, Grey & Christmas, companies have laid off nearly 1.1 million workers in the first 10 months of 2025, a 65% increase from the same period in 2024.

Though it might not seem like it based on these numbers, good-paying jobs are still readily available despite the uncertainty in the overall job market. Stacker ranked the top 50 fastest-growing jobs earning over $75,000 annually using 2024 data from the BLS Employment Projections. Occupations are ranked by percentage change in jobs between 2024 and 2034.

Many of these jobs are in the health care industry, which accounted for roughly 1 in 3 jobs throughout 2025, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. A July 2025 report from the New York Times notes that the field will likely continue to expand in the coming years as people increasingly utilize healthcare services. The nation's aging population will also create more demand on the health care system—by 2030, 1 in 5 people will be over 65, driving the need for more medical workers.

Health care isn't the only sector that's growing. Jobs in logistics, accounting, construction, and engineering all show signs of faster-than-average growth over the next decade, as well as solid paychecks to entice workers.
