Gorgeous photos of fall in every state

Fall is in full swing, and so is "leaf peeping." Every autumn, droves of tourists descend on destinations like Vermont's Green Mountains or the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Southeast to catch a glimpse of the leaves changing color. Leaf peeping continues to grow in popularity, and AirBnb reported in August 2024 that the season's most-booked destinations offer a chance to enjoy the fall foliage.

However, this practice can have its downsides—bustling hiking trails, traffic jams on rural roads, and throngs of unprepared visitors, to name a few. For those who would rather skip the crowds, Stacker has compiled a collection of 50 colorful, glorious photos of the season in every state. From national parks and forests to rambling vistas and tree-lined streets, keep reading to see beautiful fall photos from your state.
